When you already have a great example, you do not need to reverse-engineer filters. Similar People and Similar Companies start from a profile you like and surface others with a comparable background or business. From Home, the Similar people and Similar companies shortcuts below the search composer take you straight there.
Similar People
- In the left navigation, open Find People and click Similar People.
- In the Person box, type a name and pick the right person from the suggestions.
- Optionally constrain the results with Job Title, Location, and Sector, then click Search.
The search returns up to 500 ranked matches, with your reference person at the top. Results work like any people search: preview profiles (click a row, then the name for the full profile), save to lists, export, and adjust columns.
The optional filters matter: a “similar people” search anchored to a CEO but constrained to your target geography is often the fastest way to build a first-pass candidate pool.
Similar Companies
Under Find Companies, click Similar Companies and pick a reference company the same way. This is useful for building competitor sets and market maps, or for finding companies whose executives will have highly relevant experience.
Similarity searches take a little longer than filter searches, up to a minute, because matches are analyzed rather than simply filtered.
