# Reviewing the shortlist

> Work through Beacon's ranked candidates: fit scores, evidence, and follow-ups.

When a run completes, the header shows **Complete** with the final counts, and the workspace holds three artifacts: the **Shortlist**, the **Market Map**, and the full **Evaluated** pool.

## The shortlist

The shortlist rail shows each candidate's current role, company, location, and a **fit score**. Click **Open full grid** for the complete picture:

* **Fit**: the candidate's score against your brief.
* **Headline fit**: the one-line case for the candidate.
* **Tags**: which requirements they hit, for example pe-backed, m\&a, ipo, austin, and whether the profile was verified fresh.
* **Evidence**: the specific career facts behind the score.

Click any name to open the full person profile. **Save all** writes the shortlist into a people list; **View list** opens the one Beacon already created in your run's folder.

## The evaluated pool

**Evaluated** holds everyone Beacon reviewed, including passes. It is worth a skim: you may weigh a trade-off differently than the agent did, and a follow-up ("reconsider candidates you passed on for being outside Texas") pulls people back in.

## Refine with follow-ups

The shortlist is a draft to react to. Ask follow-ups like:

* "Why is the number one candidate ranked above the number two?"
* "Drop anyone who has been in seat less than a year."
* "Add candidates from Dallas and Houston."
* "Compare the top three on M\&A depth."

Beacon re-works the list in place, pinning and unpinning candidates as your requirements sharpen.

<Tip>
  The ranked list is also written out as prose with reasoning at the end of the run. Read it before opening the grid: it is the closest thing to a researcher's memo about the market.
