# FAQ

  <Accordion title="My search returned fewer people than I expected. What should I check?">
    Remove your most restrictive filter and watch the live count on the search button. Location is the usual culprit: try a wider radius, or turn on **Expanded matching** so people whose location is only known at the state or country level are included. Also check whether a title filter is set to **Current** when you meant **Current Or Past**.

  <Accordion title="The page stopped responding or buttons do nothing after an update.">
    Do a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R, or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac). If you see a "New version available" prompt, click **Update now**. A stale version of the app in your browser is behind almost all "frozen page" reports.

  <Accordion title="I shared a list by email but the recipient never got it.">
    First check the address for typos, and ask the recipient to check spam. If it still has not arrived, copy the share link from the **Share List** dialog and send it from your own email client, and let us know so we can investigate.

  <Accordion title="Why do I see a person's old company on their profile?">
    Career data refreshes continuously, but a very recent move can take time to appear. Beacon verifies shortlisted candidates' current roles before finalizing a run. If you spot something stale on a profile, the report option on the profile flags it for a refresh.

  <Accordion title="What is the difference between SkyGPT and Beacon?">
    SkyGPT converts a plain-language ask into a normal filtered search, instantly. Beacon is a research agent: it runs multiple searches, evaluates candidates individually, ranks them against your brief, and delivers a shortlist plus a market map, which takes a few minutes. Quick pull? SkyGPT. Filling a seat? Beacon.

  <Accordion title="Do searches or profile views use up my allowance?">
    No. Searching, viewing profiles, and building lists are unmetered. Only contact reveals, CSV exports, and SmartRank agent usage count; see [Credits & usage](/account/credits-and-usage).

  <Accordion title="Can my whole team see my lists and folders?">
    Lists are private to you unless you share them or make them org-wide. Sharing gives teammates access to view and work the list; deleting stays restricted to the list's creator.

  <Accordion title="A Beacon run has been going for a while. Is that normal?">
    Yes. Beacon evaluates candidates individually, so runs routinely take several minutes. You can leave the page; the run continues and shows up in your Beacon history. If a run is heading the wrong direction, stop it or redirect it with a follow-up instead of waiting it out.
